Viscose Filament Yarn (VFY) is made from natural fibres. Fabric made with VFY feels like cotton, drapes like wool, sheaths and clings like satin, and has the lustre and feel of silk. VFY is used by manufacturers of apparel, saris,
upholstery, suit linings, etc.

India ranks second only to China in VFY production. Aditya Birla Nuvo has a 30 per cent market share and is the second largest producer of VFY in India. With a capacity of 16,400 tonnes per annum, it also accounts for 40 per cent of
VFY exports from India.

Located at Veraval in Gujarat, the VFY plant is accredited with the ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certifications. As a part of its backward integration process, it has a 82,125 tpa caustic soda plant with membrane cell technology from UDHE Gmbh (Germany). A 34.5 mw co-generation thermal power plant supplies uninterrupted power.

Branded as 'Ray One', the viscose filament yarn is available in more than 400 shades. It has natural whites as well as a wide array of colours, ranging from purest tints through medium tones to vibrant deep shades; in fine to coarse deniers ranging from 75 to 1200.
